South Central dropped a pair of games on Saturday as they wrapped up play in their own Wooden Bat Classic. Despite the Friday night rain, all games were played with just an hour delay to the original schedule. In their first game, the Cougars were held to just three hits in a 5-0 shutout loss to Woodlawn. Luke Shumate, Hudson Moore and Colton Tockstein all went 1-3 on the day to account for the South Central offense. In their second game of the day against familiar opponent North Clay, the Cougars had just four hits in an 11-0 shutout loss. L. Shumate was 2-2, Garrett Shumate went 1-3 and Tockstein was 1-2 in the game. South Central is now 4-9 on the season and will meet up with North Clay again in just two days, facing the Cardinals at home on Tuesday.
