The Vandalia Lady Vandals fell behind 3-0 on Friday, and couldn’t keep up, falling to the Hillsboro Lady Hilltoppers 13-0 on Friday. After falling behind 3-0 in the top of the first inning, the Lady Vandals would load the bases with two outs, but couldn’t scratch a run across. Hillsboro would take advantage with a 5-run second inning, and a 4-run third inning to take a 12-0 lead. The Lady Hilltoppers would add an insurance run in the top of the fifth, and the Lady Vandals wouldn’t be able to scratch a run across, falling to Hillsboro 13-0. The loss drops the Lady Vandals to 2-11 on the season, and 0-3 in SCC play. Vandalia will be on the road on Tuesday to take on North Mac in a SCC matchup.
