CHBC defeats Ramsey-Mulberry Grove


The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats scored 7-runs in the bottom of the first inning, and never looked back, coming away with a 17-2 win over the Ramsey-Mulberry Grove Rams on Monday. The Bobcats scored 7 runs in the bottom of the first inning, highlighted by RBI singles from Clive Schlanser, Conor Vaughn, and Ben Askins. The Rams would get their lone runs in the top of the second when Nolan Logsdon reached on an error to score Zion Morrison and Max Reiss, cutting the CHBC lead to 7-2. The Bobcats would tack on a pair of runs in the second, three in the third, before scoring five runs in the fourth to come away with the 17-2 win. The victory improves the Bobcats to 3-6 on the season. CHBC will be back at home on Tuesday to take on BSE. The loss drops Ramsey-Mulberry Gove to 0-9 on the season. The Rams will be back home on Tuesday to take on Altamont.
