CHBC evened things up in the bottom half of the inning with a run scoring on a wild pitch and a second coming in on an RBI groundout from Madison Dover to tie the game up at 2-2. The second inning went by scoreless for both teams before Vandalia put up five runs in the top of the third inning on a two RBI double from Katy Sefton, an RBI single from Liah Hoyle, an RBI single from Kennidee Yarbrough and the last one on a CHBC error as they took a 7-2 lead. A CHBC error allowed one Vandalia run to score with one out in the top of the fifth to edge the Lady Vandals lead out to 8-5 but that lead went away in the bottom half of the inning as Harper Lilly hit a 3-run home run to pull the Lady Bobcats even and tying the game at 8-8. Vandalia responded swiftly in the top of the sixth inning as a two RBI double from B. Sefton, a two RBI single from Ollie Whitehead, an RBI single from Addey Cearlock, a run coming in on an error and a 3-run home run by Elaina Hagy pushed nine runs cross the plate and Vandalia regained the lead 17-8.
