The South Central Lady Cougars got a strong performance from Maddie Peddicord in the circle, and a 4-run fourth inning to come away with a 6-1 win over the St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs in NTC play. South Central would get on the board in the top of the first inning when Emmie Ruholl singled to score Amelia Montes and Kinlee Thompson to give the Lady Cougars a 2-0 lead. That lead would hold until the top of the fourth inning, when Thompson would break the game open with a three-run homer to give South Central a 5-0 lead. Three batters later, Zoey Feldhake would score Lauren Johnson on a single to give the Lady Cougars a 6-0 lead. St. Anthony would get a run back in the bottom of the fourth, but Peddicord would keep the Lady Bulldogs in check, to help South Central to the 6-1 win. The victory improves the Lady Cougars to 5-2 on the season, and 1-0 in NTC play. South Central will have another NTC matchup on Thursday, going on the road to take on Neoga.
