Altamont softball was held to just two hits and committed seven errors in a 17-0 loss to Fairfield at home on Monday. The Lady Indians got a hit apiece from Ella Nelson and Haley Arend in the loss. Fairfield had just six hits in the game but brought in nearly half of their runs by taking advantage of Altamont errors. The Lady Indians drop to 0-3 to start the season but they have a chance to bounce back in a big way at home on Tuesday when they host North Clay in their National Trail Conference opener.
