Vandalia Baseball and Softball Set to Kick Off Their Seasons Today

Vandalia baseball will get their season underway after a small delay due to weather and Vandalia softball will begin their season on the road this afternoon. Vandalia baseball was set to play their season opener on Monday at Father McGivney and the have their home opener on Tuesday against Cumberland, but with temperatures hovering around freezing both days, Monday’s game was cancelled and Tuesday’s game was pushed back to today. After the postponement, the Vandals will now host Cumberland today at 4:30pm at I70 Media Field. For the Lady Vandals, they will hit the road for their season opener. Vandalia softball will be at Breese Mater Dei this afternoon to take on the Lady Knights at 4:30pm. They will then have a quick turnaround and play their home opener on Thursday when they host Newton at Denny’s Field.
