The Vandalia eight grade volleyball team beat Gillespie in two sets 25-22, 25-19 on Tuesday night to earn a spot in the Staunton 8-3A Regional Championship game. The second seeded Lady Vandals got a first round BYE ahead of their semifinal matchup with the Miners. With the win, Vandalia will take on the host Staunton Terriers for the regional championship on Thursday at 6:00pm in Staunton. The winner of the game will move on to the Vandalia Sectional on Monday at 6:00pm to take on the winner of the Pana Regional Championship game between Pana and Hillsboro.
