The Altamont Indians saw their season come to an end on Friday Night, falling to the Lawrenceville Indians 59-45 in the IHSA 1 A Macon Meridian Sectional Championship. The Indians got off to a hot start in the first quarter, going on a 9-2 run. After a Lawrenceville timeout, they would respond going on a 7-2 run to end the first quarter trailing 11-9. Altamont would struggle in the second quarter, getting outscored 18-10 to enter halftime trailing 27-21. Lawrenceville would continue their hot stretch coming out of the break, outscoring Altamont 15-8 to enter the fourth quarter with a 41-29 lead. Altamont would not go away quietly in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 10 on multiple occasions, but the deficit was too much to overcome as they would fall 59-45. Altamont ends their season with a record of 24-11.
