Mulberry Grove took an early lead and held off Mt. Olive in the second half to get a 54-48 win at home on Thursday night. The Aces got off to a strong offensive start as senior Conner Hartmann poured in 14 first quarter points and Carson Caylor hit a three-pointer as Mulberry Grove took a 17-10 lead by the end of the quarter. Mt. Olive was able to get the offense moving in the second quarter and outscored the Aces 15-8 and the game went into the halftime break tied up at 25-25. Mulberry Grove was able to outscore the Wildcats in the third quarter with an 18-13 run behind another seven points from Hartmann and six points from Hagan Henrichsmeyer in the quarter to regain the lead 43-38 heading into the fourth. An 11-10 scoring advantage in the quarter allowed the Aces to close out the 54-48 win. Mulberry Grove is now 7-18 on the season and they will go on the road tonight for their final regular season game, taking on Ramsey for the fourth time this season.
