Mulberry Grove boys basketball got win number five on the season, picking up a 60-43 win at First Baptist Academy on Monday night. The Aces got off to a quick start with senior Conner Hartmann heating up early leading a 23-8 first quarter run for the Aces with 12 points and senior Hagan Henrichsmeyer adding in seven points in the quarter as Mulberry Grove lead 23-8 to end the quarter. The Aces kept pushing in the second quarter and would use a 16-9 run to push their lead to 39-17 at halftime. Mulberry Grove kept the momentum in the third quarter, again using a 18-8 run as Hartmann put up another 12 points in the quarter and Henrichsmeyer put up another six points as the Aces lead was extended out to 32 points by the end of the quarter 57-25. First Baptist Academy attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Aces 15-6, but Mulberry Grove’s lead was to o great to overcome as the Aces closed out the bug 63-40 win. Mulberry Grove is now 5-16 on the season and will play at South Central on Friday.
