The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats could not overcome their first-half struggles, falling to the Neoga Indians 57-48 in the first play-in game of the 2026 NTC Tournament. Points were hard to come by in the first quarter, with Neoga taking a slim 11-8 first-quarter lead, before going on a 10-8 run to take a 21-16 halftime lead. CHBC would begin to chip away at the deficit in the third quarter, going on a 16-12 run, but still trailed 33-32 at the end of the quarter. The Bobcats would battle hard in the fourth quarter, but Neoga would go on to outscore CHBC 24-16, ultimately coming away with a 57-48 win. The loss drops CHBC to 9-12 on the season. The Bobcats will be back in action on Thursday to take on SEB.
