The Vandalia Vandals got behind early and could not recover, falling to the Flora Wolves 58-28 on Saturday. The Vandals were held to just 5 points in the first quarter, as they trailed 10-5 after the first 8 minuets. The Wolves would get their offense going in the second quarter, outscoring Vandalia 13-10 to take a 23-15 lead into halftime. The Vandals would come out flat in the second half, being outscored 17-5 to enter the fourth quarter trailing 40-20, and the Wolves would put the game away in the fourth quarter, going on an 18-8 run to come away with the 58-28 win. The loss drops the Vandals to 10-10 on the season. Vandalia will be back in action on Tuesday to take on Hamilton County in their first game of the Benton Invitational Tournament.
