SEB Back Above .500 With Win at Okaw Valley


St. Elmo-Brownstown bounced back from Tuesday night road loss to get a win on the road on Wednesday, beating Okaw Valley 63-43. The Eagles set the tone early in the game, running out to a 17-6 first quarter lead. Their scoring took a large drop off in the second quarter as they were outscored 9-5, but they continued to hold a lead over the Timberwolves at halftime, 22-15. Both teams got up and down the floor in the third quarter, combining for 43 points in the quarter with SEB having the 23-19 scoring advantage to push their lead out to double digits, going up 45-34 as they headed into the fourth quarter. Okaw Valley was not able to sustain their scoring pace from the third, but the Eagles held steady, outscoring the home team 18-9 to pull away and close out the 63-43 win. The Eagles move back above the .500 mark with the win, improving to 8-7 on the season and they will have just today off before playing their third game in four days, hosting Windsor/Stew-Stras on Friday night.
