The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Lady Bobcats got out to an early first-quarter lead and never looked back, coming away with a 47-41 win over the South Central Lady Cougars in an NTC matchup on Monday Night. The Lady Bobcats came out strong in the first quarter, taking a 15-9 lead, before narrowly outscoring the Lady Cougars 11-10 to take a 26-19 halftime lead. South Central would begin to mount a comeback in the third quarter, outscoring CHBC 13-11, but still trailed 37-32 going into the fourth quarter. The Lady Bobcats would battle back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lady Cougars 10-9 to pull away with the 47-41 win. The win improves the Lady Bobcats to 2-11 on the season, and 1-2 in NTC play. CHBC will be at home on Tuesday for another NTC matchup to take on Dieterich. The loss drops the Lady Cougars to 2-5 on the season, and 1-2 in NTC play. South Central will be back at home on Wednesday to take on Ramsey.
