The second place Vandals had two players honored as part of the 53rd Annual Vandalia Holiday Tournament’s All-Tournament on Tuesday night. After the Championship game, junior forward Andrew Casey and junior center Lucas Bowers were named as two of the team’s ten members. Bowers averaged 16.6 points per game for the tournament with his best game being a 24-point performance in the Vandals second pool play game, an overtime win over Flora in which he had five of the Vandals’ seven points in the overtime period. Casey averaged 11.6 points per game which included hitting two key three-pointers in the fourth quarter of the Vandals overtime win against Flora and battling through an ankle injury in the final two games.
Cameron Roedl of Cumberland was named as the tournament’s MVP while all-tournament team member Cash Lynch of Pana was this year’s leading scorer for the tournament.
