BSE Will Try for Third Straight Championship Tonight at the Dieterich Girls Holiday Tournament; Dieterich Plays for Third, Ramsey for Seventh


Brownstown-St. Elmo will attempt to pull off the three-peat tonight as they take on Cumberland in the Championship game of the Dieterich Girls Holiday Tournament tonight while host Dieterich will play in the Third Place game and Ramsey-Mulberry Grove will play in the Seventh Place game. BSE went 3-0 in pool play to earn their spot in the title game at 6:00pm and they will take on Cumberland who also went 3-0 in pool play. The two teams have met once already this season, facing off in their opening games of the season with the Lady Bombers beating the Lady Pirates 36-33.

Earlier in the afternoon, host Dieterich will match up with Marshall in the Third Place game at 4:00pm after both teams went 2-1 in pool play. And opening the girls tournament’s last day will be Ramsey-Mulberry Grove taking on Arcola at 1:00pm in the Seventh Place game with both teams looking for their first win of the tournament.

Monday, December 29 Schedule:

1:00pm – 7th Place Game: Arcola vs. #7 RAMSEY-MULBERRY GROVE

2:30pm – 5th Place Game: OPH vs. Okaw Valley

4:00pm – 3rd Place Game: Marshall vs. DIETERICH

6:00pm – Championship Game: BSE vs. Cumberland

(Girls Championship Game will be approximately 30 minutes after the Boys 3rd Place Game in the Main Gym)
