Dieterich won twice and South Central split games while CHBC and Ramsey both fell in their one game of pool play on the first day of the Dieterich Boys Holiday Tournament on Friday. Dieterich got out to a big first quarter lead and Ramsey had no answer defensively for the Maroons scoring attack as Dieterich Beat the Rams 103-24 in the day’s first game. In the second game of the day, South Central held Grayville at bay by a handful of points for most of the game and went on to pick up a 71-60 win. CHBC faced Red Hill in the tournament’s third game and suffered a 63-39 loss. In its second game of the day, South Central fell to Sullivan 67-40 and wrapping up the evening and first day of play, Dieterich got its second win of pool play, beating Red Hill 49-36. The tournament resumes play today with the second and final day of pool play which will decide Monday’s place day matchups.
