The 53rd annual Vandalia Holiday Tournament is set to tip of on Friday morning. This year’s field is at 8 teams after Mulberry Grove left after one year subbing in and Okaw Valley also left the tournament. Vandals Athletic Director Jason Clay says the change in how many tournaments a program can play in, along with some other factors, has made keeping a field together tougher in the past few years.
And, with the field being 8 teams this year there is a format change and teams will still play 5 games in 4 days.
The top seed for the tournament is Cumberland and Nokomis is the #2 seed. The Vandals are the #3 seed.
