Wilhour Sets New BSE Girls All-Time Scoring Record

Brownstown-St. Elmo senior guard Claire Wilhour made history in her team’s 43-40 loss to Decatur St. Teresa Saturday night as she became the new all-time scoring leader for BSE girls basketball. The record was previously held by Katy (Heckert) Noble who finished her high school career in 2004 with 1,638 points.

Wilhour went into Saturday’s game just 15 points shy of the record and scored 30 of the Bombers 40 points to capture the new title. She currently stands at 1,654 points in her career.

Wilhour, who attends St. Elmo High School, has a new record in sight to work towards as she is currently just 84 points shy of the current St. Elmo High School All-Time Scoring record that is held by Logan Mahon.
