South Central picked up its fourth win of the season, using a strong third quarter to take the lead and beat Martinsville 54-42 on Friday night. The Cougars were outscored 12-7 in the first quarter and were able to trim just one point off the BlueStreaks lead in the second quarter as they trailed 20-16 at halftime. South Central came away from the halftime break and went on a 25-14 run, taking the lead over Martinsville and going up 41-34 to start the fourth quarter. The Cougars kept the momentum in the fourth quarter outscoring Martinsville 13-8 as they were able to close out the win, 54-42. South Central is now 4-6 on the season and will be back at home on Tuesday as they take on Sandoval.
