Altamont took an early lead and hung right with Tuscola upon losing the lead but the Indians could not stop a fourth quarter surge by the Warriors, suffering the 64-53 loss at home on Friday night. Altamont was able to get out to a 15-9 first quarter lead as Zaine Miller led the early scoring attack with 8 points in the quarter. Tuscola got their offense going in the second quarter, outscoring the Indians 20-11 as the Warriors grabbed a 29-26 halftime lead. Altamont stayed close to Tuscola in the third quarter using a five for five performance at the free throw line to pad their nine points from the floor and stay within one point of Tuscola, down just 41-40 heading into the fourth quarter. The Warriors went on a 23-13 run in the quarter and Altamont was held to eight points from the floor and went five of ten at the free throw line as they couldn’t stop the late run and suffered the 64-53 loss. Altamont is now 4-3 on the season. They will be at home again on Monday, as they host Cisne in their final game before starting play in their first tournament of the year at the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament beginning the day after Christmas.
