Altamont Uses Early Lead to Pull Away from CHBC for NTC Win


Altamont got out to an early double digit lead to start the game and CHBC couldn’t catch up to the home team as the Lady Indians were a 54-20 winner over the Lady Bobcats in National Trail Conference action at Altamont on Thursday night. The Lady Indians got out to a 10-0 lead before CHBC was able to score their first basket of the game and Altamont would push their lead to 21-7 by the end of the first quarter. With a 17-5 second quarter run, the Lady Indians would fully take control of the game by halftime as they led 38-12 at the break. The second half would see a slowdown in scoring for Altamont but they would outscore the Lady Bobcats 16-8 over the third and fourth quarters to close out the 54-20 win. Altamont improves to 2-1 in the NTC and to 6-5 on the season and will be back in action on Monday with another NTC matchup at Dieterich with game time set for 2:00pm. CHBC falls to 0-2 in the NTC and to 1-10 on the season and the Bobcats will be off until after the first of the year when they begin the 2026 portion of their schedule on the road at Okaw Valley on Saturday, January 3.
