Vandalia girls wrestling competed in their first tournament of the season on Saturday, taking part on the 2nd Annual Princeton Invitational Tournament. The Lady Vandals came away with 16 points and had one athlete place as Violet Gray took 4th place at 170lbs going 3-2 on the day. Gray picked up two Wins by Fall before losing in the Semifinals by Sudden Victory Decision and then got a Win by Decision in the Consolation Semifinals before losing by Decision in the Third Place match. The Lady Vandals will have a couple weeks until their next tournament when they compete at the Joe Bee Memorial Tournament on December 20 at Lanphier High School in Springfield.

Marley Black – 105lbs – 0-2 on the day
Briley Sefton – 115lbs – 0-2 on the day
Aydia White – 145lbs – 0-2 on the day
Violet Gray – 170lbs – 4th place going 3-2 on the day
Marlee Carroll – 170lbs – 0-2 on the day
