A pair of I70Sports area girls basketball players have earned All-Tournament honors in a pair of early season tournaments. At the Nokomis Tip-Off Tournament, Vandalia senior guard Ollie Whitehead was named to the All-Tournament Team. Whitehead averaged just under 16 points a game in the tournament including scoring 28 points against Maryville Christian in the Lady Vandals first win of the season. At the Pana Girls Thanksgiving Tournament, Brownstown-St. Elmo junior guard Dayana Haslett was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 20.25 points a game, including a high of 30 points for the tournament, as BSE went 3-1 before the place games were canceled on Saturday due to the winter weather.
