Two area girls basketball teams will begin competition in their first tournament of the season tonight as Vandalia and CHBC will play in quarterfinal matchups at the Nokomis Tip-Off Tournament. Vandalia will look to bounce back from their season opening loss at Altamont as they take on Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran who comes in at 1-0 after a season opening win over Athens. They will play at 6:00pm in the Nokomis Jr. High Gym. CHBC will get their season underway with their quarterfinal matchup against Raymond Lincolnwood at 6:00pm in the Nokomis High School Gym. Lincolnwood comes into the matchup 1-0 on the season after a win over Bunker Hill on Monday. Vandalia and CHBC will play again on Friday night before the final day with place games will be on Saturday.
