Before the Round two playoff game between the Vandals and the Comets, the Mayors made a friendly wager with the loser to donate to a charity chosen by the winner.
After the Vandals got the 42 to 21 win, Greenville Mayor George Barber made good on the promise and donated $100 to 6:35 Food Pantry. But, being a good sport, Vandalia Mayor Doug Knebel went ahead and made a $100 donation to the Bond County Core Community Program.
