For the 3rd time in their storied rivalry, the Vandals and Comets will match up in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Coming into today, each team has one win over the other in the playoffs–with Greenville winning (at Edwardsville) in 2008 and the Vandals winning (at Greenville) in 2017. The two teams are, of course, matching up for the second time this season–but with only 39 days between the matchups this year. Back on Friday, October 3rd the Vandals got a come-from-behind 28 to 18 win over the Comets at Greenville.
The Vandals defeated CZRE 42 to 6 last week at home while Greenville defeated Stanford Olympia on the road, 38 to 35. The Vandals come into today at 10-0 while the Comets are 7-3.
