South Central baseball was held to just a run on six hits as the eighth-seeded Cougars suffered a 5-1 loss to top-seed St. Anthony in the quarterfinals of the National Trail Conference Baseball Tournament on Monday. The Bulldogs scored three runs on the third inning and held that 3-0 lead until the top of the sixth inning. Hudson Moore led off the inning for South Central with a single and scored from second on a fly ball single to center field by Colton Tockstein as the Cougars cut the Bulldog lead to 3-1. That would be the only run for the Cougars as St. Anthony tacked on two more in the bottom of the sixth and held South Central scoreless in the seventh. With the loss, South Central ends their fall season at 7-14-1.
