Altamont soccer worked through some rough conditions and a rain delay to earn a shut out win over St. Anthony, 3-0, at home on Tuesday evening. The Indians were able to jump out to a quick 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal from Ashton Buchanan and extended the lead to 2-0 on a goal from Quincy Niermann. Shortly after Altamont’s second goal, the game would be stopped as the rain became heavy. After about an hour delay, the game was able to get back underway with rain still falling. Cooper Pals got the Indians on the board once again as he connected on a penalty kick to put Altamont up 3-0 which would hold for the shutout win for the Tribe. Adam Wolff got the shutout in goal for the Indians who now stand at 5-8 on the season. They will have another home game coming up on Thursday as they will host the Robinson Maroons.
