Vandalia Picks Up First Two Wins of Season, Places 5th at Own Tournament

Vandalia volleyball picked up their first two wins of the season and did so on their own floor while taking fifth place in their Vandalia Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Vandals opened up pool play 0-2 after suffering losses to South Central 19-25, 18-25 and to Hillsboro 17-25, 14-25 but salvaged pool play with a 25-11, 25-16 win over East Alton-Wood River. Their 1-2 pool record put them into the Fifth Place Match where they picked up a two set win over CHBC 25-22, 25-14 to finish in fifth place. The Lady Vandals are now 2-15-1 on the season and will return to action tonight as they take on Ramsey on the road.
