South Central Finishes 4th At Vandalia Tournament

South Central volleyball finished the day 2-2 and took 4^th place at the Vandalia Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Cougars began the day and pool play with a 25-19, 25-18 win over Vandalia and followed that up with a 25-17, 25-16 win over East Alton-Wood River. South Central suffered a tough 29-27, 16-25, 13-15 loss to Hillsboro. With a 2-1 record to finish pool play, that would put them into the Third Place match where they fell to Carlyle 14-25, 21-25. The Lady Cougars are now 5-11 on the season and will have a busy week coming up with National Trail Conference matches against Windsor/Stew-Stras tonight and North Clay on Thursday before competing in the Webber Tournament on Saturday.
