South Central wins IESA Class 1A State Tournament

South Central needed 27 runs to win their first 2 games of the Class 1A State Tournament, but would need just 3 to win the championship as they got a 3-0 shutout win over Central A&M to win the Class 1A IESA State Title.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the 5th inning when Skylar Webster would get a 2 out RBI single for the first run of the game.  South Central would tack on 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th on a Alex Gile RBI double and then she would later score on a wild pitch to give the Falcons the 3-0 lead.

Rylan Williams threw the shutout with 8 strikeouts to win the title game.

South Central finishes the season at 21-4 and wins their first-ever Junior High softball title.
