Altamont cross country held its first home meet of the season at Ballard Nature Center on Thursday with freshman Kelton Dunaway and senior Katie Tedrick leading the way for the boys and girls team, both finishing in the Top 10 with sixth place finishes.
On the boys side of the meet, Altamont had just three of its athletes running due to other sports obligations and illness so they would not get a team score. Individually, Dunaway ran a time of 16:46 in his sixth place finish, senior Jacob Johnson finished 24th with a PR time of 19:31 and sophomore Wyatt Wolff ran a PR time of 19:39 for 26th.
For the girls, both Altamont runners finished in the top 12 for the meet as Tedrick ran a time of 22:39 for her 6th place finish and junior Krista Hall ran a time of 23:33 to come in 12th.
Altamont will be back in action on Thursday at Newton before competing in the Dacey Trail Invite in Shelbyville on Saturday.
