Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for June 21 is the Brownstown-St. Elmo high school girls basketball team.
The Lady Bombers went 7-2 this week at the Wisconsin Dells Shootout picking up some big wins over teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois. They went 2-1 on Monday, 2-1 on Tuesday and wrapped up their trip with a 3-0 showing on Wednesday. The 7-2 trip to Wisconsin joins their 2-1 performance in the Emerald Courts Shootout at Mattoon to start their summer shootout schedule as BSE is now 9-3 in their first 12 games of the summer.
