South Central baseball grabbed a lead in the second inning and didn’t look back as they cruised to a 10 to 3 win over Red Hill on Wednesday in the Semifinals of their own South Central 1A Regional. After loading the bases in the second inning, Trevan Sidwell doubled for the Cougars bringing in a pair of runs and Hoover singled again to score one run and another run came in on the throw as South Central went up 6-2. A RBI double from Zane Montes and a RBI single from Luke Shumate scored two more for the Cougars in the fourth for an 8-2 lead before Red Hill scored its final run on the top of the sixth to make it 8-3.
