South Central’s Jordan Smith Wins Two Medals at IESA 2A State Meet

South Central Middle School’s Jordan Smith brought home the Falcons’ only two medals from the IESA 2A State Track Meet held in East Peoria this weekend. Smith, a 7^th grader, placed in both events he qualified for State in as he finished in 4^th place in the High Jump with a height of 5’ 1.25” and took 5^th place in the Long Jump with a best jump of 17’ 9.75”. Also for South Central boys at the meet, 7^th grade Ben Skibinski came up just one spot short of reaching the podium as he finished in 9^th place in the Shot Put with a throw of 35’ 11.5”, just 4.75” behind the 8^th place finisher and medalist.
