Altamont baseball’s offense struggled to solve the T-Town pitching and defense as the Indians were held to just one hit in a 8 to 0 shutout loss to the Wooden Shoes on Monday. T-Town took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and would hold that lead in the top of the third inning when the Indians’ Will Reardon got the teams first and only hit in the game, but was then stranded on base. The Shoes tacked on five runs in the fifth inning and one more in the sixth to shut out Altamont 8-0. The Indians collected five walks in the game along with the one hit, but were unable to get any across the plate. Altamont is now 17-8 on the season and will have a couple days off before play Salem at home on Thursday.
