CHBC fell behind early and despite steady scoring, could not catch up to Windsor/Stew-Stras in an 8 to 5 loss at home on Friday. The Hatchets scored four runs in the first inning to take an early lead over the Bobcats. CHBC answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning to cut it to a 4-1 game. WSS tacked on two more runs in the second inning, jumping to a 6-1 lead over CHBC. The Bobcats put up a run in each of the second and third innings, cutting the WSS lead in half as they pulled to within three runs, 6-3. WSS again pushed their lead out in the top of the sixth inning with two more runs, going up 8-3. CHBC was able to add on two more runs to again cut their deficit to three runs, 8-5. That ended the game’s scoring with both teams held scoreless in the seventh inning as CHBC suffered the 8-5 loss. CHBC is now 5-13 on the season and will be back in action on Monday at Dieterich.
