St. Elmo-Brownstown boys basketball opened up National Trail Conference play on Friday night with a 51 to 46 win at Neoga. After falling behind 12-8 after the first quarter, the Eagles went on a 14-5 second quarter run to grab a 22-17 lead at halftime. That lead would be extended out to 39-30 at the end of the third quarter. Neoga would try to put together a comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Eagles 16-12 in the quarter, but SEB would hold off Neoga to finish off the win. SEB moves to 4-2 on the season and after nearly two weeks on the road to start the season, the Eagles will get to have their home opener tomorrow as they host Tri-County with JV beginning at 1:00pm and Varsity to follow.
