Area girls basketball teams will get very busy with holiday tournament action on Thursday.
Both BSE and South Central are in the Dieterich Holiday Tournament.
BSE is the #2 seed for the tournament and the defending champion and they are 8-4 on the season. They will play Newton at 1 pm on Thursday.
South Central is the #7 seed for the tournament and they are 3-6 on the season. They will open tournament play versus Dieterich at 10 am.
The Greenville Lady Comets are 6-5 on the season but have played a very tough pre-Christmas schedule. They will be at the Lebanon Holiday Tournament. The Lady Comets are the #2 seed for the tournament. They will open tournament play on Thursday at 2 pm versus Steeleville. Greenville’s JV will play at the #16 seed of the tournament and will play top seed Father McGivney on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
The Lady Vandals are 3-6 on the season and will play in the Mattoon Holiday Tournament. The Lady Vandals will play two games on Thursday—Mattoon at 11:30 and then Mahomet-Seymour at 3 pm.
