Comets basketball ready to begin play at 13th annual Duster Thomas Hoops Classic

The Greenville Comets get ready to begin play in their annual Holiday tournament in Pinckneyville.

The Comets will begin play on Thursday in the 13th annual Duster Thomas Hoops Classic.  The Comets will start out on Thursday at noon when they will take on the tournament’s #2 seed Mt. Carmel.  A win would send them to the quarterfinal on Friday at 5 pm while a loss would send them to the consolation bracket game at 11 am on Friday.  There are 16 teams in the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic–the top see is Pinckneyville, followed by Mt. Carmel, Woodlawn and Union County, Tennessee.  The tournament is on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
