The Vandals will take their #3 ranking as a team to one of the top tournaments this Friday and Saturday.
The Vandals will be at the Bank of Springfield Center on Friday and Saturday for Abe’s Rumble. This is a 60 team tournament with 12 pools of 5. And, it is the top competition from throughout the state from Class 1A and from other classes as well. The Vandals will be in a pool with Peoria Notre Dame, Mt. Zion, Lawrenceville, and Normal U-High. The Vandals will wrestle all the teams in their pool on Friday and then will begin in the championship bracket on Friday night and then into the next phase of the tournament on Saturday. The Vandals are 7-0 on the year in dual team and are ranked #3 in the Class 1A Team wrestling, according to IWCOA’s rankings.
