Lady Comet senior Brenna Weiss will continue her soccer career at the collegiate level after signing her letter of intent Wednesday to play for Kaskaskia College.

Weiss has played as a central midfielder for the Lady Comets and had 4 goals and 2 assists last season during her junior year and was named SCC First Team All-Conference. That successful comeback season came after Weiss missed all but 5 games her sophomore year after breaking her ankle early in the season.

Greenville High School girls soccer coach Chris Swift says Weiss “was the major reason behind our team improvement from 3 wins the previous year to 7 last year. She also led us to our first 2 conference wins in over 20 conference games (2 and half seasons).”

As for the upcoming 2020 season, Swift says “I am expecting that we can continue the upward trajectory of our program and we are going to rely on Brenna this season to help lead us.”
