
After filling in as head coach on an interim basis during a maternity leave this past season, Haley McGinnis is now the permanent head coach for the Vandalia High School girls volleyball program. At Tuesday evening’s Vandalia School Board meeting, the board approved the resignation of Katie Myers and approved the hiring of McGinnis. McGinnis filled in for Myers this past season leading the team to a 21-11 record, ending their season in the regional semifinals against Pana.
McGinnis is a Vandalia High School alumni and is a member of the VCHS Hall of Fame after being a standout volleyball and basketball player. McGinnis also played collegiate volleyball at Monmouth College.
