CHBC suffered a tough 4-3 loss at Casey-Westfield in their season opener on Wednesday. The Bobcats were able to jump out to a lead early in the game as Conner Nowitzke would single and Clayton Wojcik would double right after that to put runners at second and third. AJ Radloff would then hit a hard ground ball to shortstop to score Nowitzke for a 1-0 CHBC lead. Gage Lorton would then hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Wojcik and put the Bobcats up 2-0. CHBC would keep C-W scoreless in the first two innings and would then tack on another run themselves in the top of the third inning when Radloff would bring another run in with another ground ball single to shortstop to score Carson Evans for a 3-0 Bobcat lead. Casey-Westfield would get themselves in the game in the bottom of the fourth inning though as the Warriors would score two runs on a 2-run single to left field followed by a run scoring on an error to even the score up at 3-3 at the end of the fourth inning. After scoreless fifth and sixth innings between the teams, CHBC would be held scoreless in the top of the 7th inning keeping the game tied at 3-3. The Warriors would load the bases on two singles and a walk before a C-W single to shortstop would score the game-winning run. CHBC starts the season off at 0-1 and will be back in action on Friday at home against Newton.
