South Central's Dodson Becomes Latest Cougar to Join 1,000 Point Club

For the second night in a row, history was made at South Central High School, this time with the boys basketball program. With 4:34 remaining in the second quarter of the Cougars game against Carlyle, senior Aidan Dodson would hit a three-pointer from the left corner to reach 1,000 career points, becoming the 12th South Central boys basketball player in school history to reach the career mark. Dodson came into the game with 989 points and needing just 11 to reach the mark and says he knew he would get that points he needed and just played relaxed and helped spread the ball around to his teammates early in the game.

Dodson would finish the game with 17 points as the Cougars would go on to beat Carlyle in the game, 44-39, and move to 12-4 on the season.
