
The Lady Vandals extended their season for one more game, beating Salem 25-19, 25-20 in their quarterfinal game at the Teutopolis 2A Regional on Monday. After building a large lead in the first set, Vandalia was able to fend off a Salem run that got them to within five points before finishing the set out for the win. The Lady Vandals then endured a back-and-forth second set in which the two teams matched each point for point for the majority of the set with many extended rallies. The Vandals were able to pull away with a string of solid hitting attacks to put the match away. With the win, the Lady Vandals advance to the semifinals where they will have another rematch with SCC rival Pana on Tuesday at 6:30pm.

In the other game from T-Town, the host Wooden Shoes beat Sullivan in 25-13, 25-11 and will play Paris in the first semifinal game on Tuesday at 5:30pm prior to the Lady Vandals game.
