Vandals at Comets, Friday night 7 pm at Don Stout Field
For Greenville—The Comets come in at 7-1 on the season, with their only loss to Pana (55 to 27). The Comets have outscored their opponents 266 to 126 on the season. Greenville will be honoring 15 Seniors–including Starting QB Wil Harnetiaux, RB Jack Woods and dynamic WR Isaac Green. The comets are looking to secure a share of the South Central Conference title with a win, which would be their 11th SCC Title but their first since 2014.
For the Vandals–The Vandals are at 8-0 on the season, coming off their 28 to 18 win over Pana at home last Friday. The Vandals have outscored their opponents 351 to 73 on the season. With a win, the Vandals would win the conference outright for the first time ever (they shared the title in 2016). From 2000 to 2015, the Comets beat the Vandals 17 straight times. But, since then, the Vandals have won 3 of the past 4 meetings.
