Vandalia sophomore golfer Chase Laack finished play at the IHSA 1A State Golf Tournament tied for 16th with a two-day score of 12 over par. Laack went 8 over par for Saturday’s Round 2 with ten bogeys and two birdies on the day. Laack’s finish is an improvement over last year when he finished tied for 21st as a freshman.
Other SCC golfers at State: Hillsboro’s Alex Eickhoff went 3 over par on Saturday for a two-day score of +4 which was good for a share of 5th place while Hillsboro’s Alex White shot even par Saturday for a two-day total of +5 that was good for a tie at 7th.
